Fire Chief's Message

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Lathrop-Manteca Fire Protection District (LMFD) website. It is my great privilege and honor to serve as your Fire Chief. Our website is designed to provide a high level of transparency and accessibility to our community.

The LMFD is an “all-risk” fire service special district, providing service to the City of Lathrop, as well as the unincorporated communities surrounding both Lathrop and Manteca. Our service area is approximately 90 square miles and includes protecting a dynamic municipality, an ever-growing residential element, industry leading commercial and industrial properties, and critical infrastructure of the state.

The LMFD consists of men and women rooted in our community. Our personnel are the core of our operation and are proud to serve the residents and visitors of our district. LMFD personnel embrace our core value regarding our approach to service, “Provide professional, progressive service delivered with sincerity, dignity, and respect to the growing diverse needs of our community”. An example of this commitment is our staff working through the arduous licensing process to provide Advanced Life Support services beginning in late spring 2023. I am humbled to work along-side such committed individuals in both our field and administrative divisions.
