The Lathrop Manteca Fire District utilizes volunteers in the Reserve Firefighter role to augment its effective emergency staffing strength. The Fire Board has authorized the Fire Chief to fill these ranks with up to 35 members.

The LMFD prides itself on having one of the best opportunities available for those that want to serve in this capacity.  Members typically are looking to either serve the civic needs of their community, or provide training to further their career opportunities.

Our Reserve Firefighters are volunteers that are provided a stipend for their service, and to help cover out of pocket expenses. They are held accountable to LMFD training standards.  Training is typically conducted while serving and 1 additional evening per month.
