High Fire Danger

High When the fire danger is "high", fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small. Mowing or edging generally be done in the morning. Mowing, edging, or clearing dead vegetation should be limited to the morning hours. Having a nearby source of water may be helpful.

***This course has been approved by the California State Fire Marshal's Office for a modified delivery. The course is 40 hours delivered over 4 days with each day scheduled for 10 hours of classroom time. Please note each day will be from 0830 - 1930 to accommodate the hours needed for the course.***
